Alerts (Registration required)

You may turn on change alerting for any LEI record. Click on the ‘Alert on Change’ button whilst you are looking at the lei record. The list of all Legal Entities records that you are currently monitoring is displayed on the "ALERTS" page. When the new file is downloaded from the GLEIF site its data is first compared with our current dataset to determine if any changes have occurred. For all the LEI record that has changed which you've expressed an interest in via a search alert or directly an email alert will be generated containing those changes.

API (Registration required)

You can access all the features of the website using a RESTful API. For convenience you can create tokens that you can use inplace of having to login.

Saved Searches (Registration required)

When entering search text or filtering requirements as normal using the main Search page, you can now click 'Save Current Searches' under the 'Searches' option. You specify a name for your search query, and can also elect to be notified whenever anything about that search query changes. Instead of entering search text manually each time you can now click searches and select the saved search you would like to use

Configurable Search Results Columns (Registration required)

You can choose from a set of available fields that you wish to display in the search results based on your use case.

Lists (Registration required)

You can save Legal Entity Records into named lists and search on only those lists. The system also supports the ability to upload a CSV file containing various fields giving the user the option to dynamically map the rows into a list.

Copy to Clipboard(Registration required)

When accessing a single LEI Record you can copy all the details into your clipboard by clicking the 'Copy To Clipboard' button you may then paste the entity details into another application such as excel

LEI Change History

Every time that we load data from the GLEIF website we produce a list of changes that happened to the entity. This is available at the bottom of each LEI record details page. You can elect to be notified of these changes via our ALERTING feature.


Enter any information that you know about about the legal entity you want to find into the search box on the main page The search results will return all legal entity records containing your entered text fragment within its record. The search is not case sensitive and the results are returned in relevancy order, where the top results is most likely the one you'd want.

Filtering searches (Registration required)

You have the option to filter the results via a number of fields eg Country/City/Zip/Postcode/Entity Status/Registration Status/Business Registration Code/Legal Form and LOU Name.

The source data that this website uses can be found at the GLEIF website According to GLEIF:

“The Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF) publishes daily an updated so-called ‘concatenated file’ which includes all legal entity identifiers (LEIs) issued globally and related LEI reference data published by pre Local Operating Units (pre-LOUs) compliant with the  common data file (CDF) format”.

Overview of our LEI Search Facility

Our LEI Search facility downloads and makes freely available exactly the same data freely available via the GLEIFS site and other sites providing such LEI data, but allows intuitive searching capability. Registered users on our site have access to additional functionality such as the ability to export search results to a CSV file, to be alerted when specific LEI records change as well as search based alerts. The ability perform matching against uploaded csv files containing legal entity data.

The purpose of this LEIFinder website is provide single searching facility, and also providing registered users with additional functionality. In some cases the source data may have errors, and/or multiple sources for the same item of data may not be in agreement as to the data values. Whilst will make every endeavour to consolidate and correct such discrepancies, we can make no promise as to the full quality and accuracy of the data. For the avoidance of doubt, Customer’s right and license to access, use, execute any of free Services are not guaranteed for any period of time and reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to restrict, limit or terminate the use of "free" or "basic" versions of any of the Services by any individual, entity or group of entities.

For the sake of clarity, the licenses granted to you do not permit you to share your username, password, and/or API key with any other person or with multiple users on a network or otherwise. Sharing your username, password, and/or API key with any other person or with multiple users on a network for any purpose shall be deemed to be a breach of these T&Cs and shall give the right to terminate these T&Cs with immediate effect.

6. Term and Termination

Right to Terminate. may, in its sole discretion, immediately terminate this Agreement and Customer’s subscription, license and right to use the Service if (i) Customer fails to make timely payments of subscription fees as required for access to its account; (ii) Customer breaches the material terms of this Agreement; (iii) Customer is found to have falsified its registration information or is otherwise unable to verify or authenticate information Customer provided to upon registration; or (iv) decides, in its sole discretion, to discontinue offering the Service to its users. In the event of discontinuance by, Customer shall be entitled to reimbursement of a pro rata portion of any unused prepaid fees paid hereunder to

Effect of Termination. Upon expiration or termination for any reason, Customer shall no longer be authorized to use the Service. When Customer’s access to the Service is terminated and/or Customer’s subscription is canceled, Customer will no longer have access to data and other material that Customer may have stored in connection with the Service and that material may be deleted by shall not be liable to Customer or any third party for termination of the Service, deletion of data, or Customer’s use of the Service. All disclaimers, limitations of warranties and damages, and confidential commitments set forth in this Agreement or otherwise existing at law shall survive any termination, expiration or rescission of this Agreement.
